Mitsubishi's WD62927 has advanced digital processing and 1080p DLP (Digital Light Processing) chip to produce unsurpassed detail and exceptional picture quality. Several cutting-edge signal processing technologies help get the most out of this refined optical system.
Mitsubishi uses a high speed video processor called Plush1080p that upconverts 1080i signals to 1080p producing four times the resolution of traditional line doublers. HDTVs can display any video signal. For a 1080p HDTV, even the high quality 720p and 1080i HDTV signals being broadcast need to be reformatted in order to fill the TV screen with a sharp, clear picture.
